Denton Floyd Receives Approval for New Luxury Apartment Development

The George will be the second Denton Floyd development in the growing area of the South Clarksville TIF district.

Denton Floyd Real Estate Group recently received approval from the Town of Clarksville Redevelopment Commission related to its second luxury apartment development in the rapidly growing area of South Clarksville. The George, located at 1409 Main Street, Clarksville, IN, will be a mixed use development that will include 192 luxury apartment homes and over 10,000 square feet of Class A retail space. Denton Floyd plans to purchase the land in February 2024 with construction to begin no later than September 30, 2024.

The George is centrally located to South Clarksville and Downtown Louisville with easy access to Interstate 65. The George will be located less than one mile from Downtown Louisville in an area that has seen tremendous job and economic growth over the last five years.

“We are excited about the opportunity to provide a vital housing option for the Town of Clarksville” said Mitch Collins, President and Partner of Denton Floyd. “Clarksville continues to realize significant economic and job growth, and we are excited to build a “best-in-class” apartment community in the South Clarksville TIF district. We want to thank the Town Council and Redevelopment Commission for making this project possible.”

Amenities at the property include a community clubhouse, resort-style heated pool, fire pits, gourmet grilling stations, 24-hour fitness center, pet spa, micro office spaces, express market, coffee bar, EV charging stations, bike repair, and a pet park. Area amenities include walkable Class A retail including restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and pickleball facilities. Residents will also be able to walk or bike to Origin Park, a 430-acre recreational park that is located less than one mile from The George.
