
A Louisville resident since 1998, Brandon studied Mechanical Engineering and Finance at the University of Louisville. With over two decades of financial industry experience, Brandon entered real estate in 2000. During the 2008 housing crisis, he honed his eye for identifying and rehabilitating distressed properties and began to build the foundation for Denton Floyd Real Estate Group.

Born and raised in Louisville, Thomas earned a BA in Finance and Risk Management from Eastern Kentucky University. He began his career in real estate with the purchase of a single-family home and has since accumulated twenty years of investing experience across multifamily, senior living, industrial, and commercial retail development. Denton Floyd has developed, acquired, owned, and managed over $3 billion in real estate assets since inception. Thomas is an active member of YPO Bluegrass and YPO Ocean Reef Club, a Governor-appointed Board Member of the Louisville Arena Authority and was recognized as a finalist for the 2025 EY Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Mitch’s background includes decades working in the capital markets, including unsecured and secured debt, CMBS debt, convertible debt, and preferred and common equity. He also has experience in private equity investments, including joint ventures, separate accounts, and full discretionary funds, as well as the IPO market and private transactions of public companies. He has worked on acquisition, divestiture, feasibility, compliance and valuation projects of more than $10 billion combined, including single assets, portfolio assets and enterprise-wide assets.

As the Chief Operating Officer, Adal oversees the financial management of Denton Floyd Real Estate Group. Adal is a well-seasoned veteran in large and complex real estate transactions, having worked for several large regional public accounting firms. During his work tenure, Adal has served more than 250 clients, with a significant amount of this time being involved in complex real estate and construction transactions.

David Morgan joined Denton Floyd at the end of 2025 as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Sligo, Kentucky native graduated from Centre College in 1992 with an Economics & History double major, and he obtained his concentration in accounting at the University of Louisville. A CPA since 1994, he was an Audit Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers serving clients in a variety of industries including service, manufacturing, real estate development, construction, and property management companies. David has extensive facility management and real estate development experience from his long tenures with Different Strokes Golf Centers, Main Street Realty, and The Parklands of Floyds Fork.
David served as a director of First Tee of Louisville, KyCPA, and Saint Mary Academy Athletics Board. He and his wife, Jane, have three sons and one daughter ages 22 to 26. He is a sports enthusiast and loves playing golf with his family and friends.

Jody joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2018. Originally from Naples, Florida, Jody graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Jody moved to Louisville in 2006 and shortly thereafter began her career in property management. Jody has served in various capacities during her real estate career including property management, finance and accounting, compliance and training, asset management, and customer relationship management. She has worked with clients with portfolios ranging from 1 single-family house to over 2000 units, with a specialty in large multi-family apartment communities. Jody lives in Louisville with her husband and their 3 dogs. When she's not in the office, you can usually find her at the gym or cheering for her beloved Florida Gators.

April joined Denton Floyd in 2019 with over 15 years of experience in property management. She gained property management experience through professional career development, which helped her work from her position as a Leasing Consultant to a Vice President of Operation. She has a breadth of knowledge in many areas of operations, having managed multifamily, commercial, and HOA portfolios in the Louisville and Cincinnati markets. April possesses a wide array of skills from sales, asset management, customer support, leasing, and portfolio management, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

John joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2021, bringing over 25 years of experience in various facets of the commercial real estate industry. His responsibilities have included key roles in development, financial analysis, brokerage and property management for a wide range of property types, including commercial and multifamily, and he has worked with clients ranging from small investors to Fortune 100 companies. While his career has included brief periods in other cities, John is a Louisville native, having graduated from Bellarmine University with a Masters in Business Administration and the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Tracie joined Denton Floyd in 2022. This Louisville native has over 20 years of management experience, with eight years in property management. Tracie started in property management as a part-time manager of a small property in 2015. Three years later, she took the leap into property management full-time, managing commercial, single and multi-family homes. Tracie is passionate about the youth in the city and runs two youth sports programs geared toward keeping kids active and in positive activities.

Mary has 7 years experience in the property management and real estate industry, is a licensed Realtor in Kentucky, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University Southeast. Mary joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2020 and serves as Operations Analyst. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and exploring the great outdoors.

Mark met Denton Floyd in 2011 and now heads up Equity Financing for the group. Over the last 10 years, Mark has raised equity for over $300 million of real estate projects. Prior to working with Denton Floyd, Mark earned an Engineering degree from Purdue University and then worked in venture-backed startups in the Louisville area. Mark also spent several years with Louisville's leading Economic Development group, which helped him acquire a valuable capital network. Mark still serves on several boards in the Louisville community.

David brings 27 years of commercial lending and banking experience to Denton Floyd, with a focus in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, hospitality, and construction. Denton Floyd was a 16-year client of David's, prior to him joining the organization in 2024. David has a Graduate Degree from The Wharton Partnership/ABA Graduate School of Banking, as well as an MBA from Bellarmine University, and a BA from Lindsey Wilson College. In addition to his educational accomplishments, David was named among the inaugural Louisville Tops Magazine's 50 under 50, Louisville Business First's 40 under 40, and was the first golfer ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at Lindsey Wilson College. David holds true to his grassroots upbringing in Columbia, KY and displays it daily with his hard work and unwavering love for his family.

Patrick joined Denton Floyd in 2019 after four years in public accounting, specializing in real estate and construction. As a key member of the Capital Markets team, he plays an integral role in underwriting, debt and equity raising, and closing transactions, having contributed to over $896 million in deals since his arrival. His expertise in financial modeling and analysis, combined with his CPA license, allows him to navigate complex financial landscapes effectively. A graduate of Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Patrick returned to his hometown of Louisville shortly after graduation. In his personal time, he enjoys playing tennis and golf, and he loves attending sporting events, particularly cheering on his favorite teams.

Matthew Marshall is a real estate development executive with more than 25 years of experience leading multifamily, build-for-rent, student housing and senior housing developments across the Southeast and Midwest, with a career portfolio exceeding $2.5 billion across 54 communities. As Senior Vice President of Development he works with a team of Development and Project Managers, sourcing and executing ground-up developments from pre-entitlement through completion. As a graduate of Indiana State University with a focus on political science and Cornell University's Executive Leadership Program refined his leadership, team management skills. Matthew loves to travel, play the guitar, and follow his favorite sports teams.

Jared joined the Denton Floyd team in 2019. As the Vice President of Development, he focuses on market research, site selection, rezoning, civil design, due diligence, entitlements, and closings. Jared is an alumnus of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, cum laude. Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and skiing, along with volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

Ian is a capital markets associate at Denton Floyd Real Estate Group, where he plays an essential part in driving the financial strategy behind the firm's real estate projects. He specializes in building detailed financial models that support smart, data-driven decision-making across the portfolio. Ian also handles underwriting requests and puts together clear, thorough reports for banks and equity partners. He works closely with the capital markets team to create investment decks that support raising both debt and equity, while also playing a key role in driving deals through the final stages of the closing process. As a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Finance, Ian blends a strong academic foundation with hands-on experience to guide projects from early-stage planning through to closing. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, watching football, and spending time with friends and family.

Charlie Temming is an associate on the Capital Markets team, where he focuses on investor and property reporting, underwriting investment opportunities, supporting deal execution, and managing investor relations. Charlie graduated from Xavier University with dual degrees in Finance and Business Analytics. While at Xavier, he was a four-year member of the men's tennis team, demonstrating a strong commitment to discipline and teamwork both on and off the court. He brings hands-on experience in investment banking and private equity through internships at ThinkEquity and Strattam Capital, where he developed a solid foundation in financial modeling, due diligence, and the full deal flow process. Outside of the office, Charlie enjoys running, playing golf, and staying active.

Krunal is a Capital Markets Associate at Denton Floyd Real Estate Group, where he supports investor reporting, financial modeling, and capital markets execution across the firm's real estate portfolio. He assists with evaluating investment opportunities, preparing materials for lenders and equity partners, and supporting the capital-raising and deal execution process. Krunal holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He brings prior internship experience as a finance and real estate analyst, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and real estate fundamentals. Outside of work, Krunal enjoys traveling, watching football, and spending time with friends and family.

With over 30 yrs of construction industry experience from both domestic and international business settings, Dan brings a disciplined, solutions-driven team approach to all phases of project delivery. He has an extensive history of driving both revenue and profits at accelerated industry-leading rates. His leadership style centers on integrity, collaboration, accountability, and commitment to quality. He has an extensive history of implementing innovated initiatives that ensure a culture for driving momentum and exceeding expectations.

With over 20 years of construction experience, Jake has been responsible for the development of major projects including multifamily apartments, condominiums, office towers, senior living facilities, federal military projects, transportation infrastructure projects, historic renovations, and custom homes. As the lead of preconstruction services, Jake is committed to implementing a risk management process to ensure that each project meets the quality, cost, schedule, and constructability necessary for each project. In his career Jake has overseen the development of over four thousand multifamily units consisting of more than six million square feet. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan. When not in the office, Jake enjoys woodworking, being outside and spending time with his wife, daughter and son.

George brings over 30 years of experience in the construction and development industry. Over the course of his career, he has directed over $2 billion worth of construction and development projects, including multifamily, mixed-use, luxury high-rise condos & apartments, and commercial projects. These projects were executed up and down the East and West Coasts and now the Midwest of the United States. George graduated from Georgia Southern University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Building Construction and Contracting in Statesboro, GA.

Joey Thurman serves as Vice President of Business Development at Denton Floyd, where he leads efforts around strategic partnerships and vertical integration. With 15 years of experience in sales leadership and operational strategy, he brings a practical, results-driven approach to identifying and executing growth opportunities. He resides in Louisville with his wife and three daughters.

Bailey Marlow leads the construction technology and innovation function at Forge Construction, bringing more than 15 years of progressive leadership across commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, LIHTC, podium, garden-style, and active-adult development. Bailey's career sits at the intersection of construction operations and technology - translating field experience and executive insight into scalable playbooks, standardized workflows, and reporting systems that help teams execute consistently across every stage of a project. Throughout Bailey's career, this work has supported more than 1,335 units and $246M+ in ground-up multifamily portfolio value, with hands-on leadership spanning Indiana, Arizona, Louisiana, Missouri, and Iowa. Bailey has served as a critical connector between development, design, preconstruction, construction, finance, asset and property management, warranty, and executive leadership - building the kind of cross-functional alignment that turns individual project wins into company-wide consistency. In the current role, Bailey leads the creation and rollout of companywide construction SOPs, designs automated KPI and KLI reporting frameworks, and partners with executive and operational leaders to close process gaps and drive technology adoption across Procore, OpenSpace 360, and related platforms. Bailey also supports Forge Construction's EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) adoption, reinforcing the meeting cadence, accountability standards, and process discipline that keep teams aligned at scale. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University and is driven by a simple belief: the strongest operations come from documenting what works, training teams to adopt it, and using data to catch risk before it becomes a problem.

Brian is a Kentuckiana native with a wife and four children, and a passion for soccer, live music and the outdoors. He has been in construction his entire working life. After joining a framing crew as a teenager and a decade of service in the Army Engineer Corp., Brian’s career in commercial construction management began in 2007. It includes a diverse range of projects in historic rehabilitation, retail, industrial, and hospitality, as well as five years in the multifamily industry leading up to his employment with Denton Floyd. Brian believes this broad base of experience and industry knowledge, a forward thinking, positive approach and focus on process driven results are key to all past and future success. He is excited to continue challenging himself within our rapidly expanding construction division, and contributing to the realization of Denton Floyd’s dynamic corporate vision.

Jordan, CHST / SMP / CIT / CRIS, has over 16 years of experience working as a health & safety and environmental professional. After starting his career in the Oil & Gas Industry with experience in the Nuclear, Waste Water and Technologies sectors, the majority of his experience comes from multi-billion-dollar projects in industrial and infrastructure construction; having worked with clients such as Google, Meta, Intel, Duke Energy and the Cities of Gilbert and Chandler, AZ. His expertise in behavior-based safety, incident investigation and analysis, and cultural safety development fosters a holistically safe culture that breeds and emphasizes unconsciously safe employees. Jordan was raised in Tampa but worked up and down the East Coast, Texas, and Arizona. He recently moved back to Southern Indiana with his wife and two children in 2023 to raise his family in a smaller town.

With 17 years of experience across multiple sectors of the construction industry, Brandi brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to her role. Her diverse background provides a well-rounded perspective on warranty management, enabling her to tackle challenges with clarity, collaboration, and confidence. Brandi is known for her proactive communication, sharp attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to delivering efficient, high-quality solutions that drive client satisfaction and project success. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family embracing nature and creating meaningful memories

Keith Pledger brings a lifelong background in construction with over 13 years focused on multifamily projects. His career spans roles including owner/operator, superintendent, sales, and purchasing, giving him a well-rounded perspective of the industry. Passionate about building strong, lasting partnerships, he values the relationships he has with coworkers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and supplier representatives. As Director of Procurement, his goal is to drive daily progress in building communities while delivering the best products to the site at the best possible rate, on time, and under budget. He owes everything to his faith and family, with his wife, kids, and grandbabies at the center of it all.

Seth joined Denton Floyd in 2019. Originally from Hopkinsville, he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2016 with bachelorâ s degrees in accounting and management. Seth moved to Louisville shortly thereafter to pursue a career in accounting. He spent 3 years in public accounting specializing in construction and manufacturing. During this time, he obtained his CPA. His responsibilities since have included managing the financial reporting for businesses including multifamily, senior living, and restaurants. Seth also has experience closing complex refinance and sales transactions. Outside of work, Seth enjoys playing golf and traveling across the country with his wife visiting all MLB parks.

Keith is a CPA who served as a tax adviser at large regional accounting firms for seven years in Louisville prior to joining Denton Floyd in 2021. Originally from Covington, Kentucky, Keith received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Kentucky and moved to Louisville shortly after. Keith enjoys playing golf, hiking, and travelling in his free time. He is a member of the AICPA.

With over twelve years of experience in accounting, Stephen has worked at large regional and top 25 public accounting firms. He has spent the last ten years with a majority focus on real estate and construction. This includes performing tax work for nine and ten-figure general contractors and subcontractors within the Louisville and Southern Indiana market. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting while playing football at the University of Louisville. He recently moved back to his hometown in LaGrange, where he resides with his wife and baby girl. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, staying active, and all things sports-related.

Shahana has been a part of the Denton Floyd team since 2015. She began her career as a Staff Accountant and was promoted to the position of Corporate Controller with the growth of Denton Floyd’s Construction and Development Division. Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, Shahana moved to Louisville to attend the University of Louisville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Louisville with a double major in Accounting and Finance. Shahana’s quick wit and fierce personality add great value to the Denton Floyd.

Ashley joined Denton Floyd Real Estate Group in April 2021. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Indiana University Southeast and brings strong financial and organizational expertise to the team.Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, staying active, working out, traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants, activities, and weekend destinations with her family.

Carly Whitesell joined Denton Floyd in 2025. She holds an Accounting degree and an MBA from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, where she also competed as a member of the cross country and track teams. Prior to joining Denton Floyd, Carly spent seven years with a top-10 public accounting firm, specializing in tax services for financial institutions. Originally from Zionsville, just north of Indianapolis, she has happily made Louisville home and has no plans to leave. Outside of work, Carly enjoys running, cooking, reading, and exploring Louisville's ever-growing restaurant and brewery scene.
