A Louisville resident since 1998, Brandon studied Mechanical Engineering and Finance at the University of Louisville. With over two decades of financial industry experience, Brandon entered real estate in 2000. During the 2008 housing crisis, he honed his eye for identifying and rehabilitating distressed properties and began to build the foundation for Denton Floyd Real Estate Group.
Born and raised in Louisville, Tommy earned a BA in Finance and Risk Management from Eastern Kentucky University. Tommy began his career in real estate with the purchase of a single-family home. Tommy has twenty years of real estate investing experience in multifamily and commercial development. Denton Floyd has developed, acquired, owned and managed over $1 billion of real estate assets since inception.
Mitch’s background includes decades working in the capital markets, including unsecured and secured debt, CMBS debt, convertible debt, and preferred and common equity. He also has experience in private equity investments, including joint ventures, separate accounts, and full discretionary funds, as well as the IPO market and private transactions of public companies. He has worked on acquisition, divestiture, feasibility, compliance and valuation projects of more than $10 billion combined, including single assets, portfolio assets and enterprise-wide assets.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Adal oversees the financial management of Denton Floyd Real Estate Group. Adal is a well-seasoned veteran in large and complex real estate transactions, having worked for several large regional public accounting firms. During his work tenure, Adal has served more than 250 clients, with a significant amount of this time being involved in complex real estate and construction transactions.
Jody joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2018. Originally from Naples, Florida, Jody graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Jody moved to Louisville in 2006 and shortly thereafter began her career in property management. Jody has served in various capacities during her real estate career including property management, finance and accounting, compliance and training, asset management, and customer relationship management. She has worked with clients with portfolios ranging from 1 single-family house to over 2000 units, with a specialty in large multi-family apartment communities. Jody lives in Louisville with her husband and their 3 dogs. When she's not in the office, you can usually find her at the gym or cheering for her beloved Florida Gators.
April joined Denton Floyd in 2019 with over 15 years of experience in property management. She gained property management experience through professional career development, which helped her work from her position as a Leasing Consultant to a Vice President of Operation. She has a breadth of knowledge in many areas of operations, having managed multifamily, commercial, and HOA portfolios in the Louisville and Cincinnati markets. April possesses a wide array of skills from sales, asset management, customer support, leasing, and portfolio management, making her an invaluable asset to the team.
John joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2021, bringing over 25 years of experience in various facets of the commercial real estate industry. His responsibilities have included key roles in development, financial analysis, brokerage and property management for a wide range of property types, including commercial and multifamily, and he has worked with clients ranging from small investors to Fortune 100 companies. While his career has included brief periods in other cities, John is a Louisville native, having graduated from Bellarmine University with a Masters in Business Administration and the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Tracie joined Denton Floyd in 2022. This Louisville native has over 20 years of management experience, with eight years in property management. Tracie started in property management as a part-time manager of a small property in 2015. Three years later, she took the leap into property management full-time, managing commercial, single and multi-family homes. Tracie is passionate about the youth in the city and runs two youth sports programs geared toward keeping kids active and in positive activities.
Seth joined Denton Floyd in 2019. Originally from Hopkinsville, he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2016 with bachelorâ s degrees in accounting and management. Seth moved to Louisville shortly thereafter to pursue a career in accounting. He spent 3 years in public accounting specializing in construction and manufacturing. During this time, he obtained his CPA. His responsibilities since have included managing the financial reporting for businesses including multifamily, senior living, and restaurants. Seth also has experience closing complex refinance and sales transactions. Outside of work, Seth enjoys playing golf and traveling across the country with his wife visiting all MLB parks.
Cindy leads our recruiting, retention, team member development, policy development, benefit administration and compensation initiatives, as we continue to grow the Denton Floyd family. With more than 14 years of human resources experience guiding both large and small organizations including industrial, warehousing, and financial services, Cindy is a trusted resource for all team members. Prior to joining Denton Floyd, Cindy was the Director of the Valparaiso University Graduate Programs in Management, responsible for developing and fostering graduate programs in the College of Business.
Mary has 7 years experience in the property management and real estate industry, is a licensed Realtor in Kentucky, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University Southeast. Mary joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2020 and serves as Operations Analyst. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and exploring the great outdoors.
Sarah joined Denton Floyd in 2023 after spending 10 years in the sports marketing industry. A native of Louisville, she attended the University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing while also studying International Business and Spanish. After receiving her MBA from San Diego State University, her career took her around the country managing the branding and overall marketing for various soccer properties. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling, yoga, painting and spending time with her dogs.
Jake is the General Counsel at Denton Floyd Real Estate Group. Prior to joining the team, Jake was a transactional lawyer in the real estate development, financing, and transactions practice group at Wyatt, Tarrant Combs, LLP, where he gained experience handling some of the region’s largest property transactions for institutional clients. Jake’s expertise includes structuring, documenting, negotiating, and closing on complex commercial real estate transactions involving multiple components, including acquisitions, dispositions, land use, title insurance, leasing, financing, and all aspects of joint venture investments in real estate.
Clayton serves as President of Development and possesses over 25 years of experience in construction, construction management and development. Clayton has directed over $800 million in construction projects, including significant expertise in multifamily, commercial and assisted living. Clayton grew up in Southern Indiana and received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
Mark met Denton Floyd in 2011 and now heads up Equity Financing for the group. Over the last 10 years, Mark has raised equity for over $300 million of real estate projects. Prior to working with Denton Floyd, Mark earned an Engineering degree from Purdue University and then worked in venture-backed startups in the Louisville area. Mark also spent several years with Louisville's leading Economic Development group, which helped him acquire a valuable capital network. Mark still serves on several boards in the Louisville community.
David brings 27 years of commercial lending and banking experience to Denton Floyd, with a focus in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, hospitality, and construction. Denton Floyd was a 16-year client of David's, prior to him joining the organization in 2024. David has a Graduate Degree from The Wharton Partnership/ABA Graduate School of Banking, as well as an MBA from Bellarmine University, and a BA from Lindsey Wilson College. In addition to his educational accomplishments, David was named among the inaugural Louisville Tops Magazine's 50 under 50, Louisville Business First's 40 under 40, and was the first golfer ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at Lindsey Wilson College. David holds true to his grassroots upbringing in Columbia, KY and displays it daily with his hard work and unwavering love for his family.
Patrick joined Denton Floyd in 2019 after four years in public accounting, specializing in real estate and construction. As a key member of the Capital Markets team, he plays an integral role in underwriting, debt and equity raising, and closing transactions, having contributed to over $896 million in deals since his arrival. His expertise in financial modeling and analysis, combined with his CPA license, allows him to navigate complex financial landscapes effectively. A graduate of Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Patrick returned to his hometown of Louisville shortly after graduation. In his personal time, he enjoys playing tennis and golf, and he loves attending sporting events, particularly cheering on his favorite teams.
Jared W. Talley has been a part of the Denton Floyd team since 2019. Prior to transitioning to Development he worked as an Assistant Project Manager in the Construction Division, contributing to the success of projects such as Lakeside Gardens and Bridgepointe Commons. As a Development Manager he focuses on site selection, annexation and rezoning, civil design permitting, due diligence, entitlements, and closings. Mr. Talley is an alumnus of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, cum laude. Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and skiing.
Landen joined Denton Floyd after spending ten years with a nonprofit LIHTC developer and consultant. There, he closed over $100MM in complex affordable housing transactions and oversaw development from inception through lease-up. As a certified Housing Development Finance Professional, he is an expert in structuring financing for multifamily developments. Landen holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Louisville. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, learning how to fly fish, and traveling with his family.
Ian is a financial modeling expert who plays a crucial role at Denton Floyd Estate Group, where he specializes in crafting sophisticated financial models that inform strategic decision-making across all real estate projects. His analytical skills and keen market insights are essential for fulfilling underwriting requests and generating comprehensive reports for various banks and equity partners. Ian works closely with his capital markets team to build robust investment decks to help raise the debt and equity on every deal. As a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Finance, Ian combines his academic foundation with advanced analytics to guide projects from initial concept through to successful closings. Outside of work Ian loves to golf, watch football, and spend time with friends and family.
Denny's background consists of working in the construction industry for decades across more than 35 states throughout the US. During his career, he has held senior executive management positions in several large design-build general contracting firms as well as a senior VP executive position with one of the largest multifamily developers on the East Coast. His expertise in running both the day-to-day production operations as well as his skill in establishing and organizing a construction division for sustained and responsible growth makes him the ideal executive to lead the Denton Floyd Real Estate Group's construction division.
Kerry began working in the construction industry in 2000. Throughout her career, she has worked on various types of projects: production homes, custom-built homes, townhomes, apartments, assisted living and other commercial buildings. Her last 6 years were spent focused on assisted living and other commercial projects, her key roles were building relationships with vendors and subcontractors in new markets and estimating the projects. In her free time, Kerry enjoys spending time with her family and loves watching her daughters play sports.
Keith is a CPA who served as a tax adviser at large regional accounting firms for seven years in Louisville prior to joining Denton Floyd in 2021. Originally from Covington, Kentucky, Keith received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Kentucky and moved to Louisville shortly after. Keith enjoys playing golf, hiking, and travelling in his free time. He is a member of the AICPA.
Shahana has been a part of the Denton Floyd team since 2015. She began her career as a Staff Accountant and was promoted to the position of Corporate Controller with the growth of Denton Floyd’s Construction and Development Division. Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, Shahana moved to Louisville to attend the University of Louisville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Louisville with a double major in Accounting and Finance. Shahana’s quick wit and fierce personality add great value to the Denton Floyd.
Morgan graduated from Spalding University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors.
Michael started his construction career in 1991 and worked as a contractor for 15 years. Over the years, he has gained experience in commercial, multi-family, hospitality, senior living, and various other construction fields. For the past four years, he has mainly focused on high-end hospitality projects. In this role, he managed multiple projects and coordinated the relationship between the ownership and the contractors. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
